2019, What's Good
It’s a new year folks!
Life hasn’t changed much, but my mindset has since I posted this video. Here’s a short (and sweet) version of what I’ve been up too. How have you all been? I feel like its been a while since I’ve written to you guys with an update versus just sharing tips.
Pursuing other creative areas has been exciting, exhausting and empowering. I almost forgot what it was like after feeling stuck at work for so long.
I knew once I began to shift my focus in my work from mostly blogging to art that things would begin to change in my life. Since my last post, I’ve been working on figuring out my art style and how to bring that to this brand. I plan to share more of my art versus feeling like it’s never good enough. More excuses for self doubt or fear, right?
This year I also plan to offer design services through my blog - which I was sort of doing before, but not sharing much on this site. See some of my work, here. As I’m moving more into a direction of building a creative cohesive brand you’ll see more artwork and possibly less beauty posts. Don’t get me wrong, I’m planning to keep my passion for beauty, but tone it down a bit.
Wellness is universal and to me, extremely important to maintain here on this site. So expect more from me there.
Life lately has been full of mindfulness and fitness goals. These two are super important to me because I realized I allowed myself to go so long without any sort of meditation and the gym. My gym membership was taking my coins, but I wasn’t present.
So, I decided to cancel it and be more intentional about at home workouts and neighborhood runs (well, walks lol). In terms of mindfulness, I’ve realized my space is a trigger for me when it comes to anxiety. I now keep plants, try to maintain a clutter free space (most of the time) and got rid of a lot.
This year I plan to travel more, see a few friends across the country and plan a solo trip (or two). That’s really it - I don’t go out much but when I do I prefer full experiences.
There are so many exciting things happening in my family (my little sister is getting married!) and for my friends - my best friend is getting her Pharm. D in a few months! I am really enjoying growth and opportunity for them all.
