Washing your makeup brushes should be a regular part of your beauty routine. While it seem obvious, skipping this step can lead to clogged pores and horrible breakouts. Trust me, I know firsthand.

I honestly didn't put much thought in deep cleaning my makeup brushes before. I would use warm water, soap rinse and keep it moving. Unfortunately I was doing it all wrong. Do you even know the amount of dirt and bacteria that are in your everyday makeup brushes?

As I read up on beauty tips, I moved into the olive oil and dish soap method. You know, you use warm water, mix oil and soap and clean in your hand. It was working wonders until I realized that my brushes were still full of oil when I would attempt to use them the next day. Fail. That's when one of my close friends told me about Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner. She swears by this stuff so I thought why not?

Just to warn you this product has a strong alcoholic odor when used. I thought it may have been just from not using the product before, but in other reviews it's mentioned. When I added the brush to the product it seemed like all the dirt was almost instantly sucked out as well as the liquid... This was disappointing.

I went through an entire bottle in about two uses for about 15 brushes. WHAT? After cleaning in the tin, I wiped on a paper towel and it dried as quick as I dipped it. So I guess this was a plus.

While the product did it's job of cleaning my brushes, I am hoping the developers can do something different about the initial smell as well as the use. Maybe I used it incorrectly causing it not to last, but still I would recommend you purchase a small sample size first.
