This is it, folks. The review we've all been waiting for "Marc Jacobs Shameless Foundation" - at least most of us. The foundation I have been the most excited about this season is the new Marc Jacobs Shameless Youthful-Look 24 Hour Foundation ($46 for 1.08 fl oz/32 ml). I received a sample in Y480, however it comes in a wide range of shades with 29 options and different undertones. I am glad that despite Marc Jacob's past faults when recognizing colorism, that this line was created.

So let's discuss shall we. First off, color as we know is crucial. The shades are divided into two categories: Yellow (Y) and Red (R) respectively. I have yellow undertones and found the bases too pale for my skin type. They were also borderline too dull for my skin - I looked a bit washed out.

Secondly, I had issues with application. I couldn’t get it consistently smooth without the patchy finish. It even seemed to dry through application.  I would not recommend using a beauty blender or even small foundation brush for this application due to the foundation streaks and dry patches.

However, after a bit of blending, building and a larger foundation brush, it settled in okay. So if you're like me and have combination or any kind of dry skin be careful to moisturize your face completely first. As far as pros - as I mentioned earlier - it is a great foundation to build upon or have as a base for other products. Overall, after testing this product, I've got to say it's a no for me - watch the full video below to find out why.
