Beauty Basics: Skincare Favorites
Skincare has always been a challenge for me.
On the account of products and...being lazy. I've always experienced issues with my skin - it's literally a combination of sensitive, oily and dry. I spent countless hours at dermatologist offices in hopes of finding solutions, none of which worked. Often times I even came across products that are hyped by gurus and professionals, only to end up wasting several coins. Instead I've opted for the holistic route (mostly) and haven't looked back since. I've decided to share my secrets of the products I've been using to improve my pores.
Mario Badescu and I first met through rose water a few years ago - I recommend you meet her as well. I was then reintroduced a few months ago through my sister when I was looking for a cleanser for my sensitive skin. Not only is the foaming cleanser cruelty free, but its not as harsh on your skin either. In the past, my combination skin would either become too tight or stay greasy after using other cleansers, but this product has become a staple in my routine. After using this for a while, I would also recommend using a cleansing brush with this product in order to have maximize results.
I received this product a year ago from influenster and it has become so vital for this cold, winter weather. I even mentioned this in my favorites video so you know it's real. My staple moisturizer is usually whatever natural oils I have, but I began to break out at night and was in search of something better.
As I mentioned before, my skin is literally a combination so I have to use something that balances out both areas. This moisturizer is a bit thick, but a small amount goes a long way. Did I mention it's about 80% organic and smells wonderful?
This is by far my favorite skincare product yet, save the best for last right? I was on the hunt for a quality mask and have been using this product over the last year. Honestly, truly, this is such an amazing polishing mask! It works as an exfoliate and polisher in my opinion. I will say that the sugar feels a bit rough on the skin, but what true exfoliate doesn't? You will begin to feel a warming affect on the skin which caught me off guard at first.
Trust me, it's not irritating your skin it's pulling impurities. After removing the mask with warm water, my skin feels like butter. I've never had a product that had my skin feeling so good. It's been my number one and may always be apart of my skin care routine.
