Happy New Year

Happy New Year | While no official new year’s resolutions were made, 2016 was truly a year of manifestations and transitions. This year taught me that I am capable.

I decided that my word of the year would be reflection.

While no official new year’s resolutions were made, 2016 was truly a year of manifestations and transitions. This year taught me that I am capable. While discovering my purpose I pushed boundaries and began to act. I have a few projects in the funnel and am reaching new heights in the new year. I shaved my head, lost weight and spring cleaned during winter. There is something truly nostalgic about a new year, its a fresh start with an immense feeling of passion and focus.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.

I began to take blogging more serious at the start of this year and noticed that there are so many influencers in the blog space who forget where there journey began. The brand deals, fortunate partnerships aren't always what they seem. You see the wardrobe, props, backdrop settings and think "wow, they are so lucky!" As I continue to grow in the new year, it is my goal to never forget where I've started and who has helped me get to where I am. This rings true in the blogging space and my "real life," often times we forget those who were here before we had a large following.

So as I said, this year is about reflection in all aspects of my life. Truly taking a look at what I'm placing in the atmosphere and receiving. I have OFFICIALLY stepped out into the real world. It's time that I accept the things in my life that I can not change and just be happy with me at this moment.

What are your goals for the new year?
