24 Life Lessons I've Learned at 24 | A list to my younger self with 24 life lessons I’ve learned over the last two decades and hope these inspire you to becoming your best self.Ever so often I post lessons learned, but I’m learning more and more that its okay to allow those experiences and lessons to be applied to our everyday lives. Lately I’ve been reflecting on how far I’ve come, situations I would have handled differently and how much farther I’m wanting to go.

So here’s a list to my younger self with 24 life lessons I’ve learned over the last two decades and hope these inspire you to becoming your best self.

  • Stay in your lane.
  • Less is more.
  • Everything in life is temporary, even life itself.
  • Spend time working at a job you love (or towards one).
  • Find your passion, live with intention.
  • Encouragement is a good thing, but not necessary.
  • Learn to master small talk, it’ll take you far.
  • Be confident in all that you do.
  • Set boundaries and remember it’s okay to say no.
  • Kindness goes a long way, be cautious of how you treat others.
  • Get to know yourself even more.
  • Nothing in life is guaranteed, work for what you want.
  • Save your coins!
  • Friendship is essential to the soul.
  • Stay true to your vision.
  • Don’t take everything so personal. Sometimes people and situations have nothing to do with you.
  • Surround yourself with better: better friends, better food, a better you.
  • Not everyone is going to like you and that’s okay.
  • School doesn’t always translate to a career.
  • Forgiveness does good for the soul.
  • There are lessons in every season.
  • Invest in experiences, not just “things.”
  •  You’ll be tested beyond measure, but stay strong in your faith and God will see you through.
  • Be grateful.
